• Are there any all-in-one shooting/instructing packages?
Yes. We have introductory packages including a hour's lesson, targets, ammunition and gun rental.
• Can I purchase the proper ammunition from the club?
Yes. Our ammunition prices are frequently the best on the west coast, especially for high-quality brands like Estate, Rio, Remington, Winchester and Federal. We typically have a very good selection of shot size, gauge and type of load to suit any shooting need at our club.
• Do you do gun sales, too?
Yes. Our Pro Shop is a federally licensed gun dealer, specializing in Beretta and Browning shotguns for sport and field. However, we have access to all major brands, so if you're looking for something, we can find it for you. Within our pre-owned inventory, you can always find great gun deals. We also feature a full line of the most common shooting clothing and accessories in a variety of sizes.
• My kids wish to shoot. How old do they need to be?
While there is no hard and fast rule, we ask that your child be of an age where they can safely handle a shotgun, demonstrating proper firearms safety and etiquette. That age is typically around 12.
• How much time do I need for each of the sports?
Clay target sports can be a liesurely activity, but remember that there may be more advanced shooters waiting behind you to shoot on your field or station.
In general, a round of skeet or trap or 5-stand may take 10-20 minutes, depending on how many there are in your squad. You will need a minimum of two people for skeet so one call pull the targets for the other. Trap and 5-Stand are pulled for you by a staff member of the club.
A full round Sporting Clays (100 targets) will take approximately 1.5 to 2.5 hours, depending on your mode of transportation. Since it is arranged much like a golf course, it can be a time to stretch your legs and enjoy a bit of exercise along with your shooting.
